The context,

I recently got a rather large lot of computers for $250, We originally went to pickup a Macintosh Colour Classic and maybe some cabes for $200, they go for $600 on ebay.com.au so I was pretty stoked. When we got to the property that we were picking these up from, we were informed that the original owner of the property worked on second hand computers, fixing them up to sell them. So we grab the stuff we actually went there to buy, alot of cables, A Macintosh Colour Classic, 3 classic mac keyboards, 1 classic mac mouse, 3 Atari 1040st’s, an Atari Mega 1, an Atari MegeFile and 2 matching monitors that likely go with the Ataris. We were told that there were probably games on the property, they just hadn’t been found yet.

The person we had been talking to then asked what I did at uni and why I was interested in computers, and after hearing that I’m studying engineering and computer science(could you tell?) they said, I’m going to grab you some tools and then I’ll show you around the place. They came out of the house with some genuinely useful tools in a show box, a wire stripper, soldering irons, solder suckers, a multimeter and a few more things that I have forgotten. Then they say, I’m going to show you around, if there is anything that catches your eye and you wanna take home, grab it, I’ll check to make sure it hasnt alreaddy been claimed and you can have it.
So anyway 2 hours later Dad and I leave with a car full of stuff that I probably didn’t need.

The Macbook

It takes me a day to get around to turning the Macbook on. After cleaning the macbook with windex, I plug it in and press the power button, eagerly awaitng the bong and thankfully it does bong. It boots incredibly quickly, which still surprises me, I am then greeted with login screen, with a user account named User and a password. All the other computers from this lot that I have powered on have a user account named jonathon(not really thats a placeholder) and no password, so I’m a bit worried. I jokingly tried password and it worked, So I then factory reset the mac it takes about an hour, and I then get greated with the same login sceen, a user account named User and a password. Turns out the defualt user and password are User and password. Thanks Apple.
